A modified procedure for determining boron in plant material and soils using 1 : 1′‐dianthrimide

Abstract

Abstract The I : I′‐dianthrimide reagent was tested for determining boron in some plants and soils. A convenient modification of the method of Ellis, Zook & Bandish (1949) is described, permitting the determination of 3 μg. of boron with a standard error of ± 0.48%, using the Biochem absorptiometer.
