Spin–Orbit Coupling in Some Positive Ions of Cr, Mn, and Fe

Abstract

The spin–orbit splitting factors for various terms of positive ions of Cr, Mn, and Fe have been evaluated from existing analytical Hartree–Fock functions. The agreement with the experimental values, whenever available, is satisfactory.
