We report the spectroscopic and experimental data of new laser channels of Pr 3+ and Tm 3+ ions in monoclinic tungstates. We discovered and identified a new one-micron laser action at 1.0223 µm of 1 D 2 → 3 F 3 transition of Pr 3+ ions in monoclinic KY(WO 4 ) 2 crystal at room temperature. At cryogenic temperature, two-micron lasing of Tm 3+ ions at wavelength of about 1.92 and 1.93 µm were excited in two sensitized crystals, KY(WO 4 ) 2 :Er 3+ and KGd(WO 4 ) 2 :Er 3+ :Yb 3+ , respectively.
