Abstract

Undifferentiated callus derived from asparagus protoplast cultures has been used for studies on organogenesis. Root and shoot formation has been obtained with different hormonal balances. Adenine has been found to be effective, together with a cytokinin, in promoting the formation of somatic embryoids in this tissue.
