A high-resolution map of the infrared solar spectrum is presented. It covers the region from 14 /2 to 7 /.L and exhibits an actual resolving-power of `---i cm' throughout. About 400 absorption lines are con- tained in the map, including the rotation-vibration lines of the great atmospheric bands and numerous in- tense lines apparently of atomic origin. Tables of wave lengths and frequencies accompany the map
