Resolving Power

Resolving Power is a metric in mass spectrometry that quantifies the ability of a spectrometer to distinguish between two adjacent peaks in a mass spectrum, defined as the ratio of the mass-to-charge ratio of an ion to the full width at half maximum of the peak, thereby differentiating it from related performance measures by its specific focus on spectral peak separation.
