Mechanistic Inferences Derived from Competitive Catalytic Reactions: Pd(binap)‐Catalyzed Amination of Aryl Halides

Abstract

Abstract Healthy competition: The Pd(binap)‐catalyzed amination of aryl halides demonstrates how the results from competitive reactions can be strikingly different from those obtained from study of the separate reactions. We show how the competitive network provides mechanistic information not accessible from study of the reactions separately.
