Timing for Fever-Related Brain Damage in Acute Ischemic Stroke

Abstract

The relationship between brain damage and high temperature is greater the earlier the increase in temperature occurs. However, only body temperature within the first 24 hours from stroke onset is associated with poor outcome and large cerebral infarcts.
