Reactions with 2‐Aminobenzimidazole: Synthesis of Several New Pyrimido[1,2‐<i>a</i>]benzimidazole Derivatives

Abstract

Abstract Several new pyrimido[1,2‐ a ]benzimidazole derivatives were synthesized by reacting 2‐aminobenzimidazole with α, β‐unsaturated nitriles and benzoylacetonitrile derivatives. The structures of the products were established on the basis of elemental analyses, IR and 1 H‐NMR spectral data.
