Abstract

These data indicate that Pg infection worsened periodontal tissue destruction through specific pathogenic pathways and modified systemic response to periodontal inflammation. Furthermore, the blood cytokine response to ligature models showed their relevance for evaluating the systemic impact of periodontal disease.
