Abstract

Abstract The crystal structure of Pt(acac)2 has been determined by means of X-ray diffraction. The molecule is monomeric, the coordination geometry being squareplanar. The average Pt–O distance is 1.991(8) Å. The bond lengths and angles of the chelating ligands are almost the same as those for other acetylacetone complexes.
