Catalytic Conversion of Nitriles into Secondary‐ and Tertiary Amides

Abstract

A nice couple: The coupling of nitriles with amines in the presence of water is catalyzed by a combination of zinc triflate and hydroxylamine hydrochloride to give the corresponding amides in good yields.
