The amplitude and the wave number of spin density waves (SDW) in the organic conductor (TMTSF) 2 PF 6 have been examined under pressure by precise anlyses of 1 H-NMR lineshape. The temperature dependence of the SDW amplitude was determined at different pressures up to 8 kbar. While the SDW transition temperature was remarkably suppressed under pressure, the SDW amplitude at absolute zero was found to have no pressure dependence. This feature can be explained only by `nesting model' for the SDW condensation and is considered as a direct support of this picture.
