The Crystal Structure of Bis(1-(2-thiazolylazo)-2-naphtholato)nickel(II)

Abstract

Abstract The crystals of bis(1-(2-thiazolylazo)-2-naphtholato)nickel(II), [Ni(TAN)2], are triclinic with unit-cell dimensions: a=12.38(6), b=12.72(6), c=8.41(4) Å, α=78.9(5), β=95.0(5) and γ=115.1(5)°, Z=2, space group P\bar1. The TAN is terdentate, one nickel atom being surrounded octahedrally by two ligand anions in the mer configuration.
