Trifluoroxenon(<scp>IV</scp>)µ-fluoro-bispentafluoroantimonate(<scp>V</scp>): the XeF₃⁺cation

Abstract

The Raman spectrum of the complex XF4, 2SbF5 is consistent with the ionic formulation XeF3+,Sb2F11–, and the 19F n.m.r. spectrum of the complex in solution in antimony pentafluoride has an AB2 spectrum in the F-on-Xe region which may be unambiguously assigned to the XeF3+ ion.
