Abstract The Kα and Kβ XRF cross‐sections were measured for Sc, Cr, Fe, Ni, Ga, Sr, Nb, Rh, Pd and Te at eight excitation energies ranging from 8 to 47 keV using energy‐dispersive XRF. The Kα and Kβ cross‐sections for all the elements were in general agreement with the theoretical values calculated using photoionization cross‐sections based on Hartree‐Slater potentials and Kβ/Kα intensity ratios based on Hartree‐Fock theory.
