Right-sided hydrothorax is a known complication in patients treated by peritoneal dialysis. It usually appears during the first days of treatment. The cause has seldom been demonstrated. We report 2 cases, one with late onset, where the patient had been treated for 1 year when symptoms developed, and one, where the cause of the right-sided hydrothorax could be shown to be multiple defects of the right diaphragm.
