Due to their importance, the synthesisof quinolines attracted widespread attention. Despite quino-line usage in pharmaceutical and other industries, com-paratively few methods for their preparation have beenreported. The Friedlander annulation is one of the simplestand most straightforward methods for the synthesis of polysubstituted quinolines.
