Neutron Diffraction Studies of Order-Disorder in Alloys

Abstract

Neutron diffraction techniques have been used to study order in the substitutional solid solutions FeCo, ${\mathrm{Ni}}_{3}$Mn, and ${\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}$Au. Superlattice effects have been found in the first two examples, which are difficult to study by x-rays.
