Abstract

Wavelength conversion of a 100 Gbit/s optical time division multiplexing signal has been achieved using four wave mixing in a 2 mm multiquantum well semiconductor optical amplifier and a Bragg fibre grating for filtering. Error free operation of all 10 channels was achieved with low power penalties.
