Finite nuclear potentials are compared with the conventional harmonic-oscillator potential in studying the diffraction minima in elastic electron scattering from ${\mathrm{O}}^{16}$ and ${\mathrm{C}}^{12}$. The effects of admixtures of two-particle, two-hole configurations in the ground states on the form factors are considered.
