The absolute intensities of gamma rays having energies between 200 and 650 kev, emitted after resonant neutron capture in ${\mathrm{Cd}}^{113}$, ${\mathrm{Te}}^{123}$, ${\mathrm{Sm}}^{147}$, ${\mathrm{Sm}}^{149}$, and ${\mathrm{Sm}}^{152}$ have been measured. The instrumentation involved a combination of time-of-flight technique and multichannel pulse-height analysis using a NaI(Tl) scintillation counter. The even-even compound nuclei studied appear to emit intense low-energy gamma rays, while the even-odd nucleus ${\mathrm{Sm}}^{153}$ shows no correspondingly intense low-energy transitions.
