Phase angle measurement between two sinusoidal signals

Abstract

An algorithm for measurement of the phase angle between two sinusoidal signals is introduced. The algorithm is based on the least-squares method (LSM) and uses digitized samples of two input signals. The algorithm allows the magnitude and phase of the two signals to be determined simultaneously.
