Dextran Sulphate: Use as an Anticoagulant, and Action in Lowering Serum Cholesterol

Abstract

In addition to its direct eflect upon the blood-coagula- tion mechanism, dextran sulphate relieved oedema in cases of thrombophlebitis and produced effects similar to those of heparin on the plasma lipoproteins and plasma cholesterol.
