ESR and ENDOR investigation of interstitial hydrogen atoms in alkali halides

Abstract

Abstract We report on the results of ESR and ENDOR investigations of H centres in KF, NaCl, KCl, RbCl, NaBr, KBr, and RbBr. New ESR results were obtained for KF, NaBr, and RbCl. The g ‐factor and the proton hyperfine constant for all mentioned alkali halides have been measured precisely. In addition to the previously published ENDOR results in KCl and RbCl we obtained well resolved ENDOR spectra in NaCl and KBr. All superhyperfine and quadrupole constants known at present for H centres in alkali halides are given and compared.
