Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is syndrome with variable otcome, but with a higher chance of progression to dementia than that of the general population. As such this is a risk group that has generated interest and has been extensively studied. There is not agreement on the best cognitive tool for this syndrome, but MoCA has been increasingly used to this end. The aim of this task is to present a MoCA version for Brazilian Portuguese and show the preliminary results of testing it here in Brazil. The original MoCA was translated by a health professional with expertise in Behavioral Neurology and back translated to English by two professionals with the same qualifications. After that, these same professionals applied the test in 14 patients with no functional deficts. This sample was very heterogenous ,10 females and 4 males with ages varying from 52 yars old to 78 years old and MMSE varying from 26 to 29 points. Data will be integrally presented in the conference at the time of presentation.
