The mannetic suscertibility and the electrical resistivity were measured on the pyrite type compounds having the dγ 1 band configuration, CoSe 2 , NiPS, NiAsS, NiSbS, NiAsSe and NiSbSe. The magnetic properties were interpreted qualitatively by the estimated ratios of the band width to the correlation energy.
