Abstract

A color filter with stripe-type pattern of bluish colorant film has been manufactured by the emerging inkjet printing technology. The injected colorant film in subpixel cells increases its thickness with increasing amount of bluish ink droplets with nanoparticles pigment during the processing of inkjet printing. The specified magnitude of bluish colorant ink for color filter in chromatic characteristics can be achieved in the neighboring region of x=0.149±0.04, y=0.152±0.04 and a brightness of Y=21.4. The visible light transmittance ratio of the prepared color filter samples with bluish colorant ink can nearly achieve 100% over the wavelength of 450–500nm, this is due to the reduction of light scattering in colorant film with particle size in nanometer.
