AbstractMicrotubes have potential applications in numerous diverse fields. They are very small diameter tubes (in the nanometer and micron range) with high as pect ratios that can be made from practically any material. In contrast, to other technologies, tubes larger than 5 microns in diameter can be made from any material with any combination of cross-sectional and axial shapes de sired. The significance of microtube technology is that it provides solutions to many materials problems as well as the opportunity to miniaturize numerous components and devices that are currently in existence. In addition, components that have to date been impossible to produce can be fabricated using this technology.Key words: MicrotubesMicrotubulesMicrochannelsMicrospringsMicrobellows
