NUCLEAR DIVISION IN ALTERNARIA TENUIS

Abstract

A study of the hyphal and conidial nuclei of Alternaria tenuis with the Feulgen nuclear reaction indicates that division is mitotic. Five chromosomes and a spindle apparatus are formed during nuclear division.
