Excitation and fluorescence spectra of Hg 2 were produced in a pulsed supersonic molecular beam crossed with a pulsed laser beam. Well-resolved structures arising from [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] vibronic transitions were analyzed and yielded spectroscopic constants for the excited and ground states of the molecule.
