Abstract

Chloride and hydrogensulfate are not bound as strongly as dihydrogenphosphate in host compounds 1 and 2. Like the phosphate-transporting proteins, these hosts bind the anions exclusively by hydrogen bonds. 1: R = COR′, 2: R = COR′, SO2R′.
