Observations Related to the Order of the Low Temperature Structural Transformation in V₃Si and Nb₃Sn

Abstract

This letter complements a previous paper by the authors and gives the results of some detailed measurements of the volume change associated with the cubic-to-tetragonal transformation in V<sub>3</sub>Si (T<sub>M</sub> = 21°K) and Nb<sub>3</sub>Sn (T<sub>M</sub> = 43°K). Finally, in addition, we wish to correct an error in the compilation of our data which led to an imprecise Fig. 1 in Reference.
