Summary The effects of a progesterone‐type oral contraceptive drug were evaluated by means of changes of blood glucose and plasma insulin levels during a 2‐hour arginine‐stimulation test. Small doses of ethynodiol diacetate (0.35 mg.), when used for 3 months, produced no consistent changes in mean fasting blood glucose and mean blood glucose concentrations, or in the mean fasting plasma insulin and mean plasma insulin concentrations.
