In Reply: We agree with Drs Kalantri and Kalantri that some clinical findings decrease the probability of hemorrhage in patients with stroke, although excluding hemorrhage with diagnostic certainty (eg, when considering anticoagulation or thrombolytic therapy) requires neuroimaging. We note that Dr S. Kalantri and others reached the same conclusion after investigating the Siriraj and Guy's hospital stroke scores in a rural, tertiary care hospital. 1n response to their comment about classifying hemorrhages by volume and location, we agree this would have been useful, but unfortunately the data necessary to accomplish this were unavailable in the studies we reviewed.Future investigation of this question is certainly warranted.
