A direct combination through molecular recognition of two individual hydrogel strips with different temperature sensitivity was proposed. The obtained bigel strip possessed a macroscopically heterogeneous structure and could perform a bending behavior in response to a temperature increase. The bending behavior was tunable by adjusting the ambient temperature.
