Optimal design of skeletal structures using ant colony optimization

Abstract

Abstract In this article, the ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm is employed for optimal design of skeletal structures. The advantage of using ACO lies in the fact that the discrete spaces can be optimized in a simple manner.
