Abstract

During the course of work aimed primarily at describing the biological phenomenon of cell division, we have made some observations which bear directly on two points pertinent to this Symposium. The first deals with the demonstration of “active” 70S ribosomes, the second with a possible regulatory mechanism for the release of protein from ribosomes.
