To investigate current sex stereotyping of various occupations, a list of 25 occupations was given to 89 male and 73 female college students. Results indicate that certain occupations are still considered as “male” or “female” occupations. These findings suggest progress must still be made in changing traditional societal attitudes toward women entering several occupations.
