Predictors of outcome after acute ischemic stroke*

Abstract

Severity of neurologic deficit is the most important indicator for clinical outcome in acute ischemic stroke both at short-term and at sixth month, whereas posterior circulation infarction also predicts a poor outcome at discharge.
