Abstract

Abstract— Two‐dimensional imaging of photons emitted from soybean roots was achieved with an ultra‐high sensitivity photon‐counting image acquisition system. The detected images reveal that a soybean root itself emits very weak light and photon flux from the growing point of the root is more intense than that from other parts of the roots.
