Abstract

The photoluminescence, luminescence excitation, and phosphorescence spectra of SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+ and Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+,Dy3+ powder phosphors have been studied in detail at 80 and 300 K. A conceptual model is proposed for strontium-aluminate-based optical memory.
