CT Appearance of Persistent Left Superior Vena Cava

Abstract

Computed tomographic findings of three cases of proven persistent left superior vena cava are described. A short review of the embryology of the development of the persistent left superior vena cava is given, together with a discussion of the clinical implications of the detection of a persistent left superior vena cava.
