The second-order rate constant k for the combination of CF2 radicals to tetrafluoroethylene (C2F4) has been determined to be k=[(1.3)108](T/300∘K)12exp(−1.2/RT) liters/mole·sec.The reactivity of CF2 radicals towards olefins and towards oxygen was found to be surprisingly low.
