Abstract

The radio frequency spectrum of 35ClF has been observed in the J=1 and J=2 rotational states of the ground vibrational state using molecular beam electric resonance spectroscopy. The results are: eqQ(Cl)=−145 782.11(9) kHz, μ=0.8881(2) D, CCl=+21.615(9) kHz, CF=−22.67(3) kHz. JClF=+1.005(54) kHz. The value for the fluorine spin rotation constant is used to calculate the high frequency term of the magnetic shielding at the fluorine nucleus, σHF = + 61.7 ppm.
