Spectra of Strong Langmuir Turbulence

Abstract

Strong Langmuir turbulence is described in terms of a random set of blobs of selftrapped plasma waves. The interaction of these blobs leads to the generation of power spectra $〈{|{E}_{k}|}^{2}〉\ensuremath{\propto}{k}^{\ensuremath{-}2}$ that agree with the results of one-dimensional computer simulation.
