The microwave spectrum of seven isotopic species of CSe has been observed leading to an internuclear distance of d=(1.67647± 0.0002)× 10−8cm. The Stark effect measurements led to an electric dipole moment of | μ |=(1.99± 0.04) D. The molecular Zeeman effect was also observed in CSe leading to the molecular g⊥ value in 12C80Se of g⊥=−0.2431± 0.0016, the magnetic susceptibility anisotropy of χ⊥ − χ∥=(27.8± 1.4)× 10−6erg/G2· mole, and the molecular electric quadrupole moment of Q∥=−(2.6± 1.6)× 10−26esu·cm2. The molecular Zeeman effect was observed in three isotopic species of CS leading to the measurement of the sign of the electric dipole moment of −CS+. The results are compared to similar molecules.
