Abstract

The space distribution and magnitude of electronic currents in a rotating molecule with a $^{1}\ensuremath{\Sigma}$ ground state are re-examined. An evaluation of the magnetic field set up by the rotation is attempted, and the results are used to interpret the width of radiofrequency resonance lines of some alkali halides.
