Abstract

It was previously shown that hypertension elevates collagen biosynthesis and increases collagen deposition in peripheral arteries and that antihypertensive agents prevent and reverse the increased synthesis. These findings have now been extended to the microvessels of the central nervous system and to other small vessels.
