The L X-ray fluorescence (XRF) cross sections ( sigma Ll, sigma L alpha , sigma L beta and sigma L gamma and relative intensities (ILl/IL alpha , IL beta /IL alpha and IL gamma /IL alpha ) for Hf, Re, Ir, Pt and Pb have been measured at various photon energies in the range 15-60 keV. Good agreement is found between the present results and theoretically calculated values of L XRF cross sections and relative intensities. To the best of the authors' knowledge, the L XRF cross sections for these elements at different energies are being reported for the first time.
